Cards Against Humidity · Starter Pack

The island has rules. None of them are written. Until now.

Cyprus Logic is the card game that finally explains the cousins, the coffee, the parking miracles, and why “siga siga” applies to everything except lunch. Made for everyone who loves Cyprus — and occasionally needs a translator for it.

We’re keeping a notebook of the island’s unwritten rules — and turning it into a card game. Play a round, and the best answers become real cards in the First Edition.

Black question card: Welcome to Cyprus. Brace yourself for ____. White answer card: Summoning the aunties Black question card: Welcome to Cyprus. Please enjoy our traditional ____. White answer card: Parking wherever feels right White answer card: …five minutes that aren’t five minutes.

The problem

Nobody explains Cyprus. You just get thrown in.

One day you’re a normal person. The next, you’re at a Sunday lunch that started at one and is somehow still going at seven, an auntie you’ve never met is asking why you’re not married yet, and a man named Andreas is fixing your paperwork because he “knows a guy.”

The guidebooks won’t help you. They’ll tell you about Aphrodite’s rock. They will not tell you:

There’s a logic to all of it. It’s just never been written down. Until someone put it in a box.

What is this?

Not chaos. Cyprus Logic.

A black card asks the question. The whole table answers with their funniest white card. The most Cyprus answer wins. That’s it — no board, no batteries, no instructions longer than a frappé order.

Black question card: Welcome to Cyprus. Please enjoy our traditional ____.

+

your answer, for example…

White answer card: Summoning the aunties
White answer card: …five minutes that aren’t five minutes. Black question card: The fastest way to make a Cypriot angry is ____. White answer card: Watching a British tourist turn into a tomato

Cypriots play it and say “this is too true.”
Everyone else plays it and finally understands.

Straight from the table

The island has spoken.

Every card in the First Edition starts as somebody’s answer. The cousins read the pile, and the ones that make everyone at the table go “re, that’s exactly it” get printed.

Submissions stay private until a card is chosen. You decide at entry whether your name goes on it.

Write a card

The First Edition is still being written. Some of it by you.

Pick one of three prompts, finish the sentence, and send it in. The best answers become real cards in the First Edition. No account, no email, about forty seconds.

Who it’s for

If any of these are you, this is for you.

🇨🇾

Cypriots

You’ll laugh because it’s true, then get slightly defensive, then laugh again. That’s the correct sequence.

✈️

The diaspora

For everyone who grew up between two countries and one very loud kitchen. Home in a box, minus the interrogation about your love life.

🧭

Expats in Cyprus

You’ve stopped asking why. This game tells you why. Consider it the orientation nobody gave you.

💍

Married or dating in

You need this more than anyone. This is not a game for you. It’s equipment.

🍋

Tourists who fell in love

A souvenir with more soul than a fridge magnet and more truth than a guidebook.

Give away the logic

The best gift is being understood. The second best is this game.

Gift it to the partner who survived their first village wedding. The friend who just moved to Limassol and keeps asking why nothing opens on Wednesday afternoon. The parents abroad who miss home. The colleague who thinks “Cyprus time” is a myth.

There is exactly one person in your life who needs to understand Cyprus. You thought of them while reading this. Buy it for them.

Gift the game → Cheaper than therapy. Funnier than a souvenir.

What usually happens at the table

Someone grabs the deck and starts correcting the cards.
Someone feels personally attacked by the parking card.
Someone explains Cyprus better in one card than their landlord managed in five years.

One Cyprus Logic card in your inbox every week.

Free, accurate, and mildly incriminating for at least one of your relatives. Weekly cards, new drops, game nights, and first looks at Kalimera Koumbara — straight from the island’s unofficial groupchat.

No spam. Siga siga, even with emails.

The competition

Questions, before you hand your card in.

What can I actually win?

The winning card gets produced as a real card in the Cyprus Logic First Edition, and the winner gets a copy of the printed deck.

How do I enter?

Play a card, then tick the competition box on the confirmation screen. That’s it — no account, and entry is free.

When does it close?

15 November 2026, 23:59 (Cyprus time).

Who decides?

The cousins. It’s judged, not drawn — cards are read and shortlisted, then picked on how recognisable, funny and specific they are, and how well they’d work as a printed card.

Will my name be on it?

Only if you want it there. You choose at entry between being credited and being published anonymously, and we stick to whichever you picked.

Is it making fun of Cyprus?

It is made with Cyprus, not at it. The tone is family teasing: accurate, loving, occasionally dangerous, never cruel. Every card is written the way you tease family — which is to say, accurately, and only because we love them.

Ready to play the rules nobody wrote down?

Bring it to the next dinner, beach day, or four-hour lunch. By the second card, someone will be shouting. That’s how you know it’s working.
